I agree with pretty much ...A very informative blog. I agree with pretty much everything you have said here. I wish you the very best of luck in your future business ventures.

I sincerely hope you can implement the ideas you mentioned into your company. I ran a cleaning company which closed down after the crash and credit cruch of 2008. I also had ideas about car pooling, better diet etc. We started out using eco friendly cleaning materials as a USP but eventually had to give up this socially responsible idea due to market pressure.

Unfortunately the monetary paradigm of our currrent society ensures the need for a business to survive comes first. Profit comes first before any other considerations because without it the business cannot survive.

If consumers did make their choices by virtue of ethical considerations first, then supply and demand would dictate that businesses adapt in product design etc to meet the demand. In a downturn however, I found that people began to choose price as their prime motive for choosing a service at the expense of ethics. An example might be battery vs free range eggs. When money is tight people are more likely to choose battery eggs because of price, ignoring their ethical standpoint out of economic necessity.

The profit system itself promotes more waste, cyclical consumption, infinite growth in a finite environment, planned obsolescence and social stratification. Not to mention war, crime and corruption.

The profit system was once an incredibly useful system that has now come to the end of its usefulness. Fiat currency has left the world on the brink of bankruptcy (inevitable). Now we must work to change the system or face our own self destruction.

For your own further self education I would point you in the direction of thezeitgeistmovement.

It's nice to see sensible blogs from intelligent people like your self. Keep it up.

BrianHeebyGeebyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17326039022906170327noreply@blogger.com
